For the better part of my life, I have fought extreme fatigue, in fact, most of my life I’ve experienced severe fatigue and extreme exhaustion.
I have done lots of tests, gone through several diagnoses, did a lot of treatment and yet I was always tired and I couldn’t find out the reason why I was always tired neither could I find a cure.
As I grew older, I started studying my body; I start to tick things that triggers my exhaustion. I started to note food that causes immediate inflammation and those that cause my energy to go low and stay low throughout the day.
As I took my time to study myself better, I realized I was in a better position to do a self-diagnosis and find a remedy for myself which has made a long-lasting impact.
Now I can easily checkmate things to find what is working for me and what is not and adhere strictly as required.

I know, I know. Waking up early is tough. But trust me, it’s worth it! I kickstart my day with a quick workout routine, whether it’s a jog, yoga session, or some simple stretches.
Exercise gets my blood flowing, releases endorphins, and sets a positive tone for the day ahead. Plus, it helps improve my focus and productivity throughout the day.
When I do mid-level exercises, my body feels less stiff and sore and I’m able to be productive throughout the day.
2. Fuel My Body with a Wholesome Breakfast
Oh my gosh, my choice of breakfast so helps!
Breakfast is the fuel that jumpstarts my energy engine. I’ve ditched the sugary cereals and opted for a balanced meal instead. Think whole grains, protein, fruits, and veggies.
I concentrate more on proteins fiber vegetables and also try as much as possible to eat in very small quantities so it doesn’t weigh me down and trigger my fatigue.
A nutritious breakfast keeps me feeling satisfied and energized, while also preventing those dreaded mid-morning crashes.
3. Doubled Down On H20
It’s incredible how a simple glass of water can work wonders for your energy levels. Dehydration can leave you feeling fatigued and sluggish. So, I make it a point to drink enough water throughout the day.
I also keep a water bottle handy to remind myself to stay hydrated. Trust me, it’s a game-changer!
4. Power Up with Power Naps
Ever heard of the power nap? It’s a game-changer when it comes to boosting energy levels. Whenever I feel a slump coming on, I find a quiet spot, set an alarm for 20-40 minutes, and let myself rest.
A quick nap can recharge my batteries and keep me going strong for the rest of the day.
5. I Snack Smartly
When the afternoon slump hits, I reach for a healthy snack instead of a candy bar or chips. Foods high in protein, fiber, and healthy fats like nuts, Greek yogurt, or veggies with hummus give me a sustained energy boost.
Avoiding sugary snacks helps prevent the dreaded sugar crash, keeping me going strong.
6. Get Moving and Shake Off the Slump
When my energy starts to dip, especially during long work hours, I take mini-breaks to get moving. Whether opit’s a brisk walk around the office or some stretching exercises, a little physical activity helps increase blood flow, oxygenate my brain, and re-energize my body.
Sometimes I just kick my foot in the air several times to keep the blood flowing and to keep things moving and not stiff.
7. Mindful Breathing and Meditation
Taking a few moments to focus on my breath and practice mindfulness helps me regain my energy and clear my mind. Deep breathing exercises and guided meditation help reduce stress, improve focus, and create a sense of calm and clarity. It’s like hitting the reset button for my energy levels!
8. Prioritize Sleep
Let’s not forget the importance of a good night’s sleep. I’ve learned that a consistent sleep schedule, along with creating a relaxing bedtime routine, ensures I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.
I aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep, and my energy levels thank me for staying elevated and great.
9. I Shake It With Music
Music has a magical effect on our mood and energy levels. When I need a quick pick-me-up, I create an energizing playlist with my favorite tunes. Upbeat songs get my body grooving, boost my spirits, and inject some extra energy into my day.
10. Surround Me with Positive Vibes
Last, but certainly, not least, I surround myself with positive and supportive people. Engaging in uplifting conversations, sharing laughter, and being in a positive environment naturally boosts my energy levels.
